The “’O Sole Mio! Forever” exhibition is a stroll through the last two centuries, rejoicing in the colours, sounds and costumes of a journey that began on the Black Sea and warmed the heart of every culture, finally coming to rest on the Gulf of Naples.
Visitors will be able to travel that same route, observing historical testimonies, original scores, period photographs and artistic artefacts, as the notes of “’O sole mio!” echo around the globe. |

The exhibition is presented by the avatar of Ferdinando Bideri, founder of one of Italy’s most prestigious publishers, and initiator of an important family tradition, with his heirs dedicated to the preservation of material connected to the stars of Neapolitan song. |

Today, this event was made possible primarily by the commitment of this music industry dynasty, which successfully safeguarded mementoes that go from Garibaldi’s “Thousand Redshirts Expedition” to the smallest record ever cut anywhere in the world. |

The song, written by Eduardo Di Capua and Giovanni Capurro, has inspired films, foreign language version for overseas markets, theatrical works. “’O sole mio!” has actually become the enduring anthem of one of the most yearned-for cities of all time. From the legendary Grand Tours to echoing emigrant nostalgia, the “’O sole mio! Forever” exhibition is a journey of discovery into Neapolitan secrets and stars, through history’s most famous song. |
